The Early Phase Non-Oncological Clinical Research Center is a unit of the University Clinical Research Support Center at the Poznań University of Medical Sciences . It is dedicated to conducting early-phase clinical trials, specifically Phase I and II trials, which assess the safety and effectiveness of modern therapies in specific therapeutic indications.
The safety related to dose escalation, drug interactions, and food interactions is studied. Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of the drug are monitored. We also conduct studies on healthy volunteers and ‘first-in-human’ studies, which involve the first administration of a specific medicinal product to humans.
Proper and safe conduct of clinical trials, especially early-phase trials, requires the involvement of a qualified research team while adhering to international Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
Our center is located at the University Clinical Hospital, ul. Długa 1/2, which provides access to diagnostic imaging infrastructure (ultrasound, CT, MRI), laboratory facilities, and the MEDICAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT.
